Takahashi Minami 1st Photobook “Takamina” Ranks at #1 on Oricon Book Charts! (2010-10-21)
October 25, 2010

A recent article on the Oricon website has revealed that Takamina’s 1st Photobook, “Takamina,” which was released on September 22nd, has ranked at #1 in Oricon’s “book” catagory! I’ve translated the article, which you can read here:

Takahashi Minami First Photobook – AKB Solo 4th First Place Group

Popular idol group AKB48 Team A Captain, Takahashi Minami’s first solo photobook “Takahashi Minami 1st Photobook Takamina” (Kodansha/released  on September 22nd) has, in the latest 10/25 Oricon “book” ranking,  jumped to first place for the first time in the four weeks that it has been ranking in the photo book category ranking. Other AKB members’ solo photobooks that have ranked at first place include Oshima Yuko’s “Kimi wa, dare no mono?” (Kobunsha, released on September 6th), and Maeda Atsuko’s “Maeda Atsuko Photobook「ATSUKO」” (released on June 21st) and “Maeda Atsuko Photobook「Acchan」” (released on March 8th, both published by Shueisha).

Born from the group “AKB’s conscience” Takahashi’s first photobook is also supported by members of her fans. The highest ranking in the past was second place when it first appeared in the 10/4 ranking. Then, in the 10/11 and the 10/18 rankings, it continued to rank and maintain a position in the TOP 5 before it entered and seized first place.

The work has plenty to offer, as it includes pictures of Takahashi’s nation and island excursions, including  her visit to Enoden in Kamakura, gravure and photos of her naturally relaxing in a room, long interviews with AKB48 producer Akimoto Yasushi and AKB48 member Maeda Atsuko, as well as an interview with Akimoto Sayaka and Kashiwagi Yuki, etc.  Upon the book’s release, Takahashi said “While reading this book, I want you to know that, I hope you become a fan of AKB48 and feel happy.”

A similar article was also posted here on Yahoo! Japan, but I believe it’s basically about the Oricon article.

Considering how Takamina’s first photobook was anything but the typical idol photobook, I’m absolutely ecstatic that it was recieved so well and that it has sold as much as it has! ❤ I absolutely didn’t doubt my Captain’s success for a minute – Congratulations Takamina! And keep up the great work! ❤

T♥T! Update (10/23/10)
October 23, 2010

Hello everyone! Here’s a quick T♥T! update.

I’d just like to apoligize for the lack of posts in the past week. I had like three midterms and an insane amount of work on my plate, however I think my workload is going to be a little bit lighter (at least for this week, haha), so stayed tuned for your regularly scheduled T♥T! fangirl-filled updates ^_^

If it’s any consultation I’m working on a few translations at the moment. No blog entries unfortunately, since Takamina hasn’t updated since my last translation, but a few people requested a couple small news articles regarding Takamina to be translated. I’m also still trying to work on the Oricon Interview in my spare time, but sadly they use a lot of kanji and colloquial Japanese which makes it hard to understand, but I hope in due time to have the whole thing translated at some point ^^

But yup, just wanted to let everyone know why there have been a lack of updates as of late, and to look forward to a bunch during this week! ♥

T♥T! Two Month-a-versary! Thanks for the 5,000 views! ♥
October 12, 2010

Wow. This…. this is just incredible. :cute: Tottemo!♥Takamina! has been up for exactly two months and has already recieved a little over 5,000 views~!  <3 <3 <3 [party]

Seriously, words can’t really express how happy I am right now. One of the main things I was skeptical about while I was debating to create Tottemo♥Takamina! was whether anyone was going to care about reading it. Sure, there are a bunch of members of the TakaArmy out there, but my initial thought was “Who’s going to care / want to read my blog?” I didn’t think I’d have anything extraordinary or great to say, and even if I did I didn’t see what would set my blog apart and catch people’s attention into reading it.

However, it seems as if I’ve been proven wrong. I’m not sure if in this day and age, with internet blogging slowly evolving and pulling a survival of the fittest over newsprint and broadcasted news, if 5,000 views means anything over the span of two months, but to me it seems like a pretty awesome feat. :chuffed: So to everyone who periodically checks up on Tottemo♥Takamina!, or even if you’ve just come across it in passing, thank you. Thank you for all the comments, all the feedback, and all the positive feedback and encouragement with the translations I do. One of the greatest joys of having a fanblog, or even just being a fan of someone or something, is finding fellow fans to talk and bond with, so thanks for showing me that I’m not alone and for the fond memories and I have had and will continue to make in the future. You guys are awesome. :flower:

And last but not least, I’d like to thank the girl who made this all possible, Minami Takahashi. Because without Takamina, there would be no T♥T!. So thanks for being so amazing Takamina, and here’s to more fangasming in the days, weeks, months, and years to come. <3 <3 <3

Just a little burst of TakaAcchan love…
October 11, 2010

So there really isn’t a real point to this post, I am just finding this overly assuming right now:

You just gotta love the utter look of “DO NOT WANT!” on Takamina’s face [hehe] Show Takamina your love, Acchan… (On a side note… why the hell wasn’t this in the Heavy Rotation PV?!)

Also I’ve come to the realization that I do not do as much Takamina/Acchan fangirl as I should (since this is a Takamina fanblog after all, and I consider Acchan to be a significant part of Takamina’s life) so I’ve now made a TakaAcchan catagory. So keep your eyes peeled for more Takamina and Acchan love from now on ^_^

Make-Up Like Takamina! (Pt. 2)
October 9, 2010

So originally I was going to wait to talk about this until I could find the name of the magazine this scans came from, but I haven’t been able to figure it out. Anyway, here are some recent magazine scans of No Sleeves, where they are talking about how they feel about beauty, fashion, and hair.

I can’t make everything out, but here’s a little gist of what Takamina was saying for each catagory:

Beauty –  She mentions a face cream that she recieved from Acchan. The cream is La Mer Moisturizing Cream, and after some research I’ve found out that it’s supposed to be some really amazing stuff! It’s regarded as an extraordinary miracle cream, and is supposed to smooth out creases and wrinkles on the skin and makes your skin softer and firmer (I also believe Takamina mentions how it makes your face feel all nice and soft like a baby’s, but don’t quote me on that). Takamina seems to really love it though, and she thanks Acchan too ^^

Interested in picking up a jar? You’ll have to save up, but you can buy some here!

La Mer Moisturizing Cream (can also be found here) – Comes in 1 oz. ($130), 2 oz. ($230), or 16.5 oz. ($1390) sizes.

Fashion – Takamina was saying how she doesn’t really like or care about fashion itself, but she loves going shopping ^_^ That’s one thing I’ve always admired about her – you see Takamina in sweat pants and comfy clothes all the time, and she really doesn’t care how she looks. I just love how she’s always so chill and chooses comfort over fashion.

Hair – Of course, Takamina talks about how her signature hair style is a ponytail with a big ribbon in it. And how did this “Takamina hair” come to be? I think Takamina was mentioning how she was always afraid to cut or change her hairstyle, so that’s one reason why she never messes with her hair. Another? She just loves ribbons :3

And in case anyone is interested, I also found the product that Haruna was talking about: rienda suelta Sweet Holic Body Mist. It can be purchased here (through the use of a deputy service, unless you live in Japan) for 1,900 yen (approx. $19). And sorry for Miichan fans, but I couldn’t make out what product she was talking 😦 Still, hope you all enjoyed this! ❤

This is Takahashi Minami☆☆Hiroshima☆ (2010-10-03)
October 8, 2010

Good eveningー

Today was Heavy Rotation’s nation-wide handshake event in Hiroshima

It’s been a while since the last nation-wide handshake event, I couldn’t believe how long the line was!

The last time’s Ponytail to Shushu occasion was Team A’s new public performance lesson
Man, seeing as where we came from it’s really been a while

By the way, on the subject of stories
I’ve recently been obsessed with Pokemon gym badges. I got 6 today.

Ah!
Getting back to what I was saying

Today’s Setlist
M1 Aitakatta
M2 Ponytail to Shushu
M3 Heavy Rotation

Also between the handshaking and the meeting
Everyone in the Kenkyuusei performed
M1 Lemon no Toshigoro
M2 Miniskirt no Yosei

The state of the venue was like this:

I wished I took photos on stage, however
“An unusual well updated Takahashi blog entry
Everyone would say in unison when they’d come and see it
“Ah~~~!!!!!!”
They’d remarked.

So somehow
I feel like it’s unusually rare that I’m updating my blog like this~

For the time being I promise to be good like this

Thank you all very much for everyone who came down today

Takamina performing ‘Bird’ LIVE (with Kitahara Rie and Sashihara Rino at 2010 Yoyogi Surprise wa Arimasen! concert)
October 2, 2010

Ok, so I believe it’s safe to say that almost everyone in the AKB48 fandom has seen a performance of “Bird”. If you haven’t, you need to. I honestly think it’s performed at almost every single AKB48 concert (correct me if I’m wrong), and it’s one song that Takamina has become famous for because it’s practically a Takamina solo. Here’s one of the latest performances of “Bird”, live at the 2010 Surprise wa Arimasen! concert at Yoyogi:

I… no words can really express how I’m feeling right now  :cute: :cute: :cute: She’s an angel, she really is…

But damn, seeing this clip makes me want to buy the Yoyogi boxset now… why must it be $170? :fp: Oh well, maybe for Christmas with the PSP game…

私は目撃者!
October 2, 2010

Yatta, my copy of AKB48’s Team A 6th Stage “Mokugekisha” Studio Recording album arrived today!

And here’s a few pictures of the CD itself and the jewel case I took:

3.前人未踏 (Zenjin Mitou)
4.いびつな真珠 (Ibitsu na Shinju)

17.Pioneer

Sorry for not being able to provide scans of the actual CD booklet – my scanner is horrible and there really isn’t anything to see except for the lyrics. Speaking of which, the offical lyrics for A6 are finally up on the AKB48 website!:  http://akb48.co.jp/song/06a.html. loveandcoffee has also awesomely provided translations for all the songs, which can be found over at Studio48 and in the Lyrics and Translations thread on Stage48 (Matenrou no Kyori is like officially my favorite AKB48 song now <3333) Now I can finally look at the lyrics on my iPod and sing along with the girls ^__^ (yes, I sing to AKB48 songs… don’t judge me.)

I think the only thing that disappoints me about the CD is Utsukushiki Mono, particulary the part where Takamina speaks the lyrics during her chorus. I’m just a little upset that her voice came out sounding stronger and louder during the actual performance, but aside from that I am totally melting into a pile of goo now that I can finally listen to Itoshisa no Accel A6 in high quality without wotas screaming and clapping in the backround ^^

Takahashi Minami 2011 Calendar Previews
October 2, 2010

Here are a few previews of Takamina’s upcoming solo calendar, which is going to be released on October 15th:

The cover has been out for a while now, but now it seems that the backround is a pretty pale pink instead of grey, which I got to admit I am loving. You can also see very small previews of the other months at the bottom of the image. The second picture is the calendar’s sheet for July and August; not only is it super pretty because we get to see the outfit that Takamina is wearing on the calendar cover in its entirety (Yay for bows being on her outfit! And on her earrings too!!! ^__^), but August is also my birthday month so I’m really happy with it ^^

Once again the calendar comes out on October 15th, so be sure to order your copy soon!

This is Takahashi Minami☆ Impression!!! (2010-09-27)
October 1, 2010

Yakushiji was amazing!!!

I was really impressed!!!!

I’m ashamed to say that I was ready to burst into tears right at the opening.

As I descended the temple I felt like “I’m going to die!?” because many memories of the past 5 years passed before my eyes.

It was a mysterious place~

I’d like to experience it again.

Nara, Yakushiji

they often remind us of popular spots where we go on a school field trip, however I couldn’t go on my field trip back in middle school.

That was the day that Team A performed

“I love to perform at the AKB48 Theater before everything!!”
“I won’t go to Nara!!”

I thought so at the time.

when time passes

Yup~

Even though I don’t regret the decision

I never thought it would be like this

that I would come to Yakushiji in Nara to sing my favorite song on this occasion; I thought it was really beautiful!!!!!!

And to everyone who came down today!
Thank you so much
Be careful not to catch a cold

 I returned to Tokyo
The pouring rain surprised me
It was cold!!!!

Gyah, this entry was so hard to translate *facepalms* The second half wasn’t so bad, but I wanted to shoot myself in the face while translation the first part of the entry. Takamina speaks using more colloquial Japanese, so it’s hard for me to understand what she’s exactly trying to say sometimes. Still, I did my best, and as always if anyone notices any mistakes or can think of a more sensable translation, please let me know! Enjoy everybody! ^^

EDIT: Thanks again to BORNTORUN for helping me correct some of the translation.
