Help a fellow idol blog! Save Acchi Muite Pie!!!
September 30, 2010

So while this isn’t Takamina or AKB48 related (ok, well, sort of related to AKB48), I’d just like to interrupt our usually scheduled Takamina fangirl posts for this public service announcement.

Is anyone a fan of the fellow idol group Idoling!!!? This may come as a surprise to some people who don’t know me too well, but I am actually a rather huge fan of the group. I learned about them back in Feburary of 2008 when I stumbled upon their first album, “Daiji na Mono,” on a J-pop music sharing site I used to frequent back then, and ever since I have been smitten with them. I absolutely loved the whole concept of the group, their cute and beautiful songs with amazing lyrics, their hillarious TV show and mini dramas, everything. (And let’s not forget their awesome collaboration with AKB48 🙂 ). Unfortunately my Idoling!!! oshimen, Koizumi Rumi, graduated back in 2009, and while I feel my love for the group might never be as strong as it used to be before Rumi-hime departure, I still keep up with the group and cherish them as one of my favorite idol groups, despite the fact that after along 2 years,  I still haven’t (and may never) find someone to replace the spot Rumi held in my heart.

But anyway, I digress. One main reason why my love for Idoling!!! has perservered over the years is because of an epic Idoling!!! fan who goes by the name of SilverBolt and his blog, Acchi Muite Pie!!! ( Over the years Silverbolt has done an amazing job of sharing every single Idoling!!! episode that has ever been aired on each, as well as concerts, CDs, DVDs, news and information… essentially everything Idoling!!! related. I often feel as if Idoling!!! is very underappreciated and that the group doesn’t have too many English speaking fans (I actually almost had a huge bitchfit over this elitest ****wad on Stage48 who had the nerve to insult Idoling!!! by calling them an ‘inferior’ idol group when compared to AKB48), but whenever I felt like that I’d think of SilverBolt and Acchi Muite Pie!!! and yes, there were still some people out there who was just as big, probably even bigger, an Idoling!!! fan than me.

Anyway I went to check out Acchi Muite Pie!!! the other day, and I noticed that all of the blog’s content was deleted. When I returned later on in the day the only content was one blog post by SilverBolt saying that a representative of Fuji TV contacted him in regards to him sharing Idoling!!! episode and other content via BitTorrent. As a result he has decided to close Acchi Muite Pie!!! until the issue is resolved, but in the meantime he is also asking for help from fellow Idoling fans. He has created an online petition requesting that Fuji TV give overseas Idoling!!! fans a legitimate way to watch episodes of Idoling!!!’s TV show, which can be found here:

Allow Access for Overseas Idoling!!! Fans

The petition can be signed using your Facebook, Twitter, or MySpace account, or you can create an account with PetitionSpot. SilverBolt is also encouraging Idoling!!! fans to send messages to Fuji TV, the Idoling!!! staff, the Idoling!!! members, and even Masuno through as many means as possible. More information and links can be found on his blog.

So why am I posting about this here? I’m asking you, Idoling!!! fans, Takamina fans, AKB48 fans, to please help out and sign the petition. It would mean the world if you helped out – every signature counts. Even if you are not a fan of Idoling!!!, just think of it this way: What if the same were to happen to AKB48? What if all media content was erased from the Internet, leaving fans with virtually no access to content? No more AKBINGO!!!, no more dramas, no more singles or concerts or DVDs, nothing. While this is an extreme scenario, it’s something that no fan would wish for. Obviously being an overseas fan of many an idol group the thought of this upsets me greatly, and I was really upset when I found out that SilverBolt and his blog were being persecuted as a result.

Please, if you are a fan or care about Idoling!!!, or just want to simply help out the cause, please follow the link and sign the petition – it’ll only take a second. And remember – Takamina would want you to do it 🙂

/End un-Takamina related transmission.

Takahashi Minami 1st Photobook “Takamina” Scans
September 29, 2010

sapiru-chan over at Stage48 was kind enough to scan Takamina’s entire 1st photobook, “Takamina,” so if you haven’t recieved your copy yet and are just itching to see what the PB is all about, check out the scans here!

Like I said before I have already purchased my copy (and I have another one on the way, which I preordered from HMV months ago and refuse to cancel even though I picked up the book in Kinokuniya already), but I was really hoping to stumble upon scans because the PB simply has some really beautiful and nice images which I want to use to make some graphics (possibly for a new future blog banner?), so I’m really happy that someone took the time to scan it. Thanks so much sapiru-chan! ^_^

This is Takahashi Minami☆ Buffet!!! (2010-09-25)
September 27, 2010

I’m back from the buffet

I am happy that I was able to eat rice

It was delicious!

Sashihara and I began to ignore

our hunger

when we went to go take a picture…

Aah~ I’m in looove

And then I was determined to excavate* icecream with Akicha

Hang in there!!!!

Hang in there!!!!!!!

It was a splendid scoop

Well then!!!

Now that my stomach is full I’m going to return back to my room♪

Chobi’s Note: Yes, she actually used the term “excavate” when she was referring to getting icecream xD Probably because they had to scoop it out of those giant tins, but still. Oh, Takamina ❤

September 27, 2010

No Sleeves recently performed on GIRL POP FACTORY. They sang their fifth single, “Kimishika,” along with “Toki no Kawa no Koete,” a cover of Ushirogami Hikaretai’s 1987 song of the same name. What makes the performances really special and awesome is that the girls are singing totally, utterly, and completelylive; plus they are accompanied by a live band, which always makes things awesome. “Kimishika” sounds especially beautiful in my opinion [inlove]. Check them out on YouTube here:

買いました! ♥
September 25, 2010

So I just got back from a little trip down the city, and….

I bought Takamina’s photobook at Kinokuniya! ^_^ I was so excited because it was the last copy they had, and I was able to get it! ^^

I just took a quick look at it because I have tons of homework to do, but I have to say in my totally biased opinion that “Takamina” is the best photobook I have ever purchased. Honestly, it’s such an original photobook, and it’s totally Takamina’s style. I really like how it mixes professional photos with ones taken by her fellow AKB48 members (you get some really cute and awesome shots of Takamina ^^), and the fact that it’s jam packed with interviews just makes it amazing (too bad I won’t be able to read like any of it =_=). There’s also a very cute letter from Takamina at the end of the book ^_^

I think the only thing I wish the PB had more of were actually photobook pictures, and off-shot pictures of Takamina taken by the AKB48 members. I only say this because I absolutely love seeing Takamina acting so chill and dressing however the heck she likes in the off-shot pictures (plus some of them can be hysterical), and we basically saw all of the outfits she wears in the photobook through her previews, so in that respect there really wasn’t anything that surprised me (although there were obviously a lot of pictures we didn’t see through the previews). However that’s just my 2 cents regarding it – aside from that I have absolutely no complaints about the PB 🙂

So yeah, if you haven’t picked up your copy I highly recommend you do so now. Get it from the following retailers!

Amazon Japan
HMV Japan
CD Japan (Ships in 1-3 weeks)
YesAsia (Temporarily out of stock)

And if you still need pursuading, do it for the TakaAcchan love [inlove] [inlove] [inlove]

Takahashi Minami Oricon INTERVIEW-01 Part 1 Translation (Oricon Interview Part 1 of 4)
September 25, 2010

Upon the released of her first photobook “Takamina,” Takamina was recently featured in a two part interview on Oricon Style’s website. The interview discusses not only her photobook, but also her time spend in AKB48 and the interview that she had with AKB48 producer Akimoto Yasushi. The interview was broken up into two parts: INTERVIEW 01: “At AKB48’s first stage…” and INTERVIEW 02: “At the interview with Akimoto-san…”.

I absolutely freaked out when I caught wind of the interview, mainly because I feel that Takamina does not get as much media attention as she deserves, so the fact that it was a two part interview with pictures, on Oricon no less, made me nearly die of happiness. So, being overwhelmed with pure happiness and curiousity as to what the interview might entail, I decided to give a go at translating it. However, since this past week was crazy and now this week is going to be very very busy for me with school, I am going to be posting the translation in four parts: INTERVIEW 01 will be broken up into two parts, as will INTERVIEW 02. Originally I planned on posting the whole thing in one go, but I underestimated not only the size of the interview but also the vocabulary (just the part I did seemed to take forever =_=). However I’d like the Takamina fan community to be able to read and enjoy something like this, even if it may not be perfect, so as long as people can be patient I decided that little by little I’d like to work on translation the entire interview ^_^. Once again, please keep in mind again that this is only my third year studying Japanese, so I’m pretty sure my translations will be a little far from perfect. Nevertheless, I hope you all enjoy Part 1 of 4 of Takamina’s Oricon Interview! ❤

Takahashi Minami Oricon Interview-01 Part 1: “At AKB48’s first stage…”

I’m really thankful that I was free to do as I pleased.

――1st Photobook “Takamina” has been completed. How did it turn out?

【Takahashi Minami 】Well~ , I think that this had so many contents that were full of substance that we had more things than we could fit and it became really packed!

――Certainly the accepted contents approached your charm from various different angles. Can you tell us what you learned from the first photoshoot episode?

【Takahashi Minami 】Generally speaking it was fun. Rather than deciding to take pictures, I was told to act as I normally do, feel as if I was relaxing at home, touch a cat on the sidewalk, run after a duck on a sandy beach and chase it will all of my might…… (laughs). I’m really thankful that I was free to do as I pleased.

――You got to go to Enoshima during the photoshoot at Kamakura, right?

【Takahashi Minami 】This was the first time I went there. So, I almost felt like a tourist. I think I probably should have remembered what I saw, but I just remember eating, so I’m really sorry (laughs).

――It was a photobook that left a good, continuous impact.

【Takahashi Minami 】Especially the pictures of me taken by other members…… they’re terrible!

――Why? Rather than feeling plain, I think that fans feel as if they were close to your presence.

【Takahashi Minami 】There’s also a photo printed on the book dust jacket, “Why would they put it on this?”, such a bad, stupid shot (cries). But, I guess it’s good, because it’s me (laughs).

――Well then, what are your favorite recommended shots?

【Takahashi Minami 】The shot on the outside cover where I’m chasing a duck (laughs). The people around me really rave about it and say “That’s Takamina.”

――A photobook that can only be Takamina’s. Not only is it true, the interviews are thick with content.

【Takahashi Minami 】In this way I felt really thankful that I was able to chat (laughs). Not only since the beginning of AKB48, but the 19 years of my life, I packed it all!

Just Another “Takamina” Photobook Promotion Clip
September 25, 2010

Here’s a recent news clip of Takamina promoting  her photobook “Takamina,” which was released on September 22nd. She mentions how there aren’t any bikini shots in it, and shows how underneath the dust jacket cover the actual book has a picture printed on it of Takamina chasing after a duck (I died laughing for a good 10 minutes after I saw that; how epicly hillarious is that? xD). At the end of the clip someone also asks about the Janken tournament, and it seems as if Takamina has had enough rock-paper-scissors for the time being ^^ Anyway it’s a really enjoyable clip, so check it out!
